Do you review your hourly charge out rates at fixed intervals? Perhaps you configure new rates at the start of each financial year. Changing rates for all your staff individually can be painful, but Hiro makes it really easy to bulk adjust everyone's rates in one go. Here's how:
- Within the Human Resources module, navigate to the Positions Register. To access this page, you will need to be a Hiro Global Administrator, or otherwise hold the appropriate Hiro privilege (refer here for more information).
- Click on the Bulk adjust rates button up the top of the page (look for the forklift!)
- Presented is a list of all positions stored in the Positions Register that have a current user attached. By default, the list is presented in descending order of the current hourly rate per position, but you can click the Position Title table heading to sort by that column instead of you wish.
The New Hourly Rate column on the far right of the table is pre-populated with the existing rate for that position. If you don't want to change the rate for that particular position, leave the value as-is. Otherwise, update the rates per-position as needed. - At the top of the page is the New Rates Effective From setting. Use this setting to optionally backdate the new rates to a particular point in time for existing timesheets (only those not already allocated to an invoice).
For example, if today is the third of the month, but you want the new rates effective from the first, select "Backdate to specific date...", then choose the date to backdate the new rates to: - When you are ready to commit the new rates, click the Save All Rates button at the bottom of the page.
