Introduction
If you see the message “Already connected” when trying to reconnect Hiro to Xero, it means the existing connection is still active on Xero’s side. Before you can reconnect, you’ll need to disconnect Hiro from within Xero first.
This article explains how to do that.
💡 Only Hiro Global Administrators can connect or reconnect Hiro to Xero.
When This Happens
In Hiro, go to Settings > Connect to Xero.
If you click the blue Connect to Xero button and sign in, you might see your Xero company listed as Already connected and greyed out. This means you need to remove the old connection from Xero before setting up a new one.
Steps to Fix

In Xero, click the App Launcher icon in the upper right corner of the screen (it looks like nine dots).

In the flyout menu, click Manage connected apps.

On the Connected apps page, you’ll see Hiro listed. Click Disconnect.

In the confirmation popup, click Disconnect again to confirm.
