Introduction
Hiro helps you track licences and training for your staff, ensuring everyone has the required credentials and avoiding expired certifications.
To begin, define the licences and training items you need to monitor. Then, add the relevant details for each staff member.
Set Up Individual Licence/Training Items
Follow these steps to create licence or training items:

Access the Licences and Training Register
- Go to the Human Resources module and navigate to the Licences and Training Register.
- To access this page, you will need to be a Hiro Global Administrator, or otherwise hold the appropriate Hiro privilege (refer here for more information).

Create a New Licence or Training Item
Click the blue "New licence or training item" item up the top left of the page

Enter Summary Information
- Provide a name to describe the licence/training item.
- Select the most relevant category to group this item within.
- Optionally, upload a PNG image as a logo for the item.

Select Fields for Data Entry
- Choose the fields required for staff records.
- For example, if the licence/training item includes an expiry date that you want to keep track of, enable the Expiry Date checkbox.

Set Privileges
- Define who can view and edit the item.
- Optionally, allow staff members to view their own records in addition to those assigned with permissions.

Configure Email Notifications (optional)
- Enable email notifications for upcoming expiry dates.
- Assign recipients who will receive a weekly summary of expiring licence/training items.
- Optionally, send reminders directly to staff members whose licence/training items are approaching expiration.

Save Your Changes
Click "Save" to finalise the setup.
What's Next?
Once the licence and training items are set up, you’ll need to add individual records for each staff member. This is done on their Staff page.
