How Hiro's Subscription Works
Hiro operates on a per-user subscription model that automatically adjusts as users are added or deleted. This ensures you’re only billed for active users without being locked into long-term commitments. This article provides an overview of how billing works and how to manage your subscription effectively.
Subscription Pricing and Adjustments
Hiro is billed at $63.50 per user, per month (including GST), charged in advance. Your subscription automatically updates throughout the month as users are added or deleted, with any adjustments applied to your next invoice.
An active user is any user whose account exists in Hiro, regardless of whether they have logged in. If you create accounts for your team in preparation for future use, they will be counted in the subscription until they are deleted.
Managing Users to Control Subscription Costs
If a team member no longer needs access to Hiro, their account can be deleted to adjust your subscription. Deleting an account is non-destructive—all timesheets and historical data remain intact, and a prorated credit for the remaining subscription period will be applied to your next invoice.
If a deleted user needs access again—such as a returning employee or a seasonal staff member—their account can be reactivated instead of creating a new one. All their previous data, including timesheets, project history, and other records, will still be linked to their account. Reactivating an account will trigger a prorated charge, which will be added to your next invoice.

How Subscription Adjustments Appear on Your Invoice
Whenever a user is added or deleted, a prorated adjustment is recorded and will appear on your next invoice. These adjustments are itemised, so you can see the specific charges or credits applied during the billing period.
For example:
- If you add a new user mid-month, a prorated charge for the remaining period will be included in your next invoice.
- If you delete a user, a prorated credit will be applied to your next invoice.
This ensures that you’re only billed for active users while maintaining flexibility in how you manage your team.
