Introduction
After a project has been lodged, you can update its details using the Edit tools in the Projects module in Hiro. There are four tools available to modify different types of information on the job.
Add or Remove Team Members
Use the Add or Remove Team Members page to modify who the assigned members of the project team are. Except where additional privileges have been granted to a user (refer here for more info), a person must be a member of the project team to enable the following activities:
- viewing related emails in the Email Archive
- raising an Invoice
Team members on projects can only be modified if:
- you are a project captain on that project (learn more about what a captain is here);
- you are a Hiro "Global Administrator"; or
- you hold the "Edit all projects" user privilege (refer here for more info).
Update Billing Entity
Use the Update Billing Entity page to change the billing entity on a project, which is used for invoicing, as well as configure who the "attention to" people are for that project.
Someone can be marked as an attention to person after being added to the Address Book as an individual contact. If an attention to person is specified on the project, their name will appear in the address block on an invoice PDF. Note that the email address/es for where the invoice PDF gets sent to is configured independently of the attention to person (refer here for more info about sending invoices).
Billing entity information on projects can only be modified if:
- you are a project captain on that project (learn more about what a captain is here);
- you are a Hiro "Global Administrator"; or
- you hold the "Edit all projects" user privilege (refer here for more info).
Change Captains
Use the Change Captains page to reassign who the captains are on a project.

An enquiry only has one captain, whereas a job has one captain for each department that has been added to the job either during initial lodgement, or using the Add Department to an Existing Job process.
Captains can only be changed if:
- you are an existing project captain on that project;
- you are a Hiro "Global Administrator"; or
- you hold the "Edit all projects" user privilege (refer here for more info).
All Other Project Information
All other details stored on a project other than described above can be modified by visiting the Edit Project Details page. Project details that can be updated on this page include:
- Summary information
Client reference, tender status and key dates. - Location
Country, site address information, how to display the location on a Google Map, whether attached to an Estate, Real Property Description (RPD). - Billing
Configuration for how to send project invoices (refer here for more info). - Work Schedule
Modify the project's phases, tasks and subtasks. - Rates
Configure custom charge rates specific to an individual project (refer here for more info).
Project details can be modified on the Edit Project Details page if:
- you are a member of that project's team;
- you are a Hiro "Global Administrator"; or
- you hold the "Edit all projects" user privilege (refer here for more info).
