Introduction
Adding a work schedule to your project enables you to precisely track how time & costs are accruing versus the revenue you will receive for delivering the corresponding scopes of work agreed to with your client.

Whilst you can setup the phases, tasks and subtasks of your work schedule on your project from scratch, Hiro has a template system to speed up the new project lodgement process.
What is a Work Schedule Template?
A "Template" is a group of phases, tasks and subtasks that you can copy onto a project.
You can copy in as many templates onto your project as you need. Templates can be used either during the initial project lodgement or after lodgement on the Edit Project Details page.
After you have copied a template onto a project, you can then adjust the details on the project's work schedule as required for the specific needs of your project. Modifying your project work schedule that incorporates template information does not affect the data in the template that you copied from.
You might decide to create templates that align to your business' standard pricing schedules. Using work schedule templates for your pricing schedules helps standardise pricing information throughout your team, and helps ensure everyone generates quotes using your standard company language.
Create new Templates
New templates can be created by visiting the Work Schedules Templates page, within the Projects module.
Using a Template
During either lodgement or whilst editing your project, you can import template information onto the same page you would otherwise setup your work schedule from scratch. Once on the page to define your work schedule:
- At the top of the page, click the "Copy from template" button.
- A popup window will appear; search for and select the particular Work Schedule Template that you wish to copy onto that project.
- Click the "Make it happen" button. The phases, tasks and subtasks stored within the template that you selected will be added to your project.
If work schedule items already exist on your project, the phases, tasks and subtasks from the template will be appended to the end of your existing project work schedule. - If needed, modify the imported phases, tasks and subtasks as needed to make them appropriate for the current project. Changing any details from what was imported has no effect on the template itself, which remains reusable as-is on other projects.
- If needed, you can continue importing further templates of phases, tasks and subtasks by repeating the above steps, which will continue being appended to your project's work schedule.
