Introduction
To enable Microsoft 365 Sync in Hiro, you must hold two distinct roles:
- Microsoft 365 Global Administrator – This is a role within your Microsoft 365 account.
- Hiro Global Administrator – This is a role assigned within Hiro.
You need to hold both roles to enable the synchronisation feature. This article focuses on verifying your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator status.
Steps to Verify Your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator Role

Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Go to https://portal.office.com/Adminportal.
- If you receive an error when trying to access this page, it means you are not a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator.

Navigate to the Users Section
- As a shortcut, go directly to https://portal.office.com/Adminportal/Home#/users.
- Alternatively, in the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, use the left navigation pane to select Users > Active users.

Search for Your Account
- Look for your user account in the list of "Active users."
- Click on your name to open the user properties panel on the right-hand side.

Check Your Role
- In the Roles section of the user properties panel, confirm that "Global Administrator" is listed.
- If you are listed as a Global Administrator, you can continue with enabling Hiro's Microsoft 365 Sync feature.
